Mason Savage named Jefferson Community College Athlete of the Week

Freshman wing, Mason Savage of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) hockey team,
was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending September 28, 2025.
Savage, a 2025 graduate of Alexandria Bay Central School, is majoring in Natural Sciences at Jefferson. Mason has quickly made his mark both academically and athletically. His transition to college has been seamless, continuing his excellence in the classroom while emerging as a key contributor on the ice. He currently leads the JCC hockey team with 8 points in just 4 games, including a remarkable hat trick in this weekend’s victory over Central Maine Community College.
Beyond his performance on the ice, Mason plays an important leadership role as the team secretary, demonstrating his commitment to the program and his teammates. His work ethic, sportsmanship, and academic dedication make him an outstanding representative of Jefferson athletics. Mason’s continued success and leadership make him a deserving choice for Athlete of the Week.
