Summer-Start Allied Health Programs Filling Now
Published: April 29, 2026
Jefferson Community College (JCC) is accepting applications for its allied health credentialing programs including phlebotomy technician, clinical medical assistant, dental assistant, pharmacy technician, and medical billing and coding. These programs are held in-person and fully online.
Students who complete these programs may be eligible for an optional externship with a local healthcare organization to gain valuable hands-on experience. Training begins in May and June respectively with classes held on campus, at Fort Drum, and at the Lewis County JCC Education Center in Lowville. Upon successful completion, participants can sit for a nationally recognized credential in their respective field. Funding is available for eligible programs through:
- My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) for military spouses
- Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program for active-duty military
- Caring Gene® Career Pathways Training Program
- Grants through The WorkPlace
Military spouses requesting MyCAA funding must submit their Education and Training Plan four weeks in advance of the class start date.
Through a partnership between Jefferson, Condensed Curriculum, and Ed2Go, additional allied health training programs are available entirely online such as EKG Technician, Dialysis Technician, Veterinary Assistant, and Personal Care Assistant. Students can begin online training at any time through rolling enrollment.
To register and learn more, call Jefferson’s Workforce Solutions office at (315) 786-2233.
