  • Craft fair enthusiasts won’t want to miss this opportunity to peruse a myriad of homemade items at the Jefferson Community College Women’s Organization 33rd annual craft fair on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the McVean Student Center, Building 4. Entrance to the craft fair is through the gymnasium lobby, adjacent to Parking Lot D.

  • Jefferson Community College will host guest speaker and paranormal investigator John Zaffis on Friday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater. Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.

  • Winners of the 2018 Writer's Contest Announced Published October 24, 2018 A public reception and writers contest reading will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Commons of the John W. Deans Collaborative Learning Center (Building 15) at Jefferson Community College (JCC) to recognize the winners of the 2018 North Country Writers Contest. In June, the JCC English department began seeking entries for short fiction, essay/nonfiction and poetry.

  • Open House to be held on November 16 Published October 12, 2018 Jefferson Community College (JCC), one of thirty community colleges that comprise the State University of New York (SUNY), will hold an Open House on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Open House gives prospective students and their family members a chance to experience JCC campus culture, talk with faculty and students, and discover how the College can meet their career goals! Open house will convene in the Commons, Jules Center (Building 6)

  • On Monday, October 22, 2018, the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Health and Wellness Center will host its annual Take Back the Night (TBTN) event at 7:00 p.m. in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater. Admission is free and the public is welcome to attend.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division (WDBD) will continue to offer retail job training that leads to industry-recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). Training is free and made possible by a New York State Department of Labor grant. The next 3-week cohort will begin October 22, 2018. Retail sales, food service, and hotels and hospitality are areas covered during training. Classes will meet on JCC's campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation and childcare assistance are available.

  • The Social Science Department at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will host the first public preview of documentary "Black Hawk Down: The Untold Story" on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. A panel discussion will immediately follow each preview. Members of the panel include veterans of the Battle of Mogadishu that took place in October 1993, twenty-five years ago.
