Jefferson Community College is committed to creating educational and career pathways that meet the needs of students and the community. This fall, in collaboration with the North Country Workforce Development Institute and Lewis County, JCC partnered with the National Tractor Trailer School to offer free hands-on training to prepare students to take the nationally recognized commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A exam.

Jefferson Community College is offering a hydroponics program, free, to Jefferson County and Lewis County students in grades 9-12. Deadline to register is January 7, 2022.

On December 1, 2021, Jefferson Community College's Board of Trustees approved a resolution to advance a new plan for the $2.5 million in Downtown Revitalization Initiative funds awarded to the College by New York State in 2018. JCC will collaborate with Neighbors of Watertown to restore the buildings at 124 - 136 Franklin Street and develop a facility dedicated to entrepreneurship education and training.
