Jefferson Community College (JCC) is helping local employers upskill their workforce through significantly reduced-cost, customized training made possible by the State University of New York (SUNY) Workforce Development Training Contract Courses Grant. Through this program, Jefferson designs training tailored to each employer's specific needs in areas such as technology, leadership, communications, office and organizational skills, and other professional or technical topics.

Meeting regional employer needs remains central to the mission of Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Solutions. In June 2024, JCC Workforce Solutions hosted an education industry apprenticeship roundtable, bringing together regional employers to discuss workforce challenges and skills gaps in early childhood education. Participants also learned about funding opportunities available through the State University of New York (SUNY) Apprenticeship Program to support the launch of registered apprenticeships.

In-person training is available for individuals aspiring to become a clinical medical assistant, dental assistant, medical biller and coder, pharmacy technician, and phlebotomy technician. These programs - and additional allied health options - are also available online.
