Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its annual Pinning Ceremony for graduates of the College's nursing program on May 18, 2023 in the College's Sturtz Theater. Thirty-three (33) candidates for the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in nursing were eligible to take part in this special program.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) has released its summer 2023 youth programs. This exciting lineup features an array of athletic camps that will predominantly take place on JCC's new turf field. In addition, local youth will have the thrilling opportunity to participate in video game tournaments hosted in JCC's state-of-the-art esports arena, situated on the top floor of Jules Center (Building 6).

Jefferson Community College (JCC) is offering summer programs to help fall-starting students strengthen their reading, writing and math skills in order to test out of developmental courses (non-credit bearing) and start the semester fulfilling degree required courses. Summer programs are free and begin July 10, 2023.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its Annual Recognition Celebration on Friday, May 5, 2023. The College observed the retirement of eight faculty and staff, four newly appointed emeriti, honored those for milestone years of service to the College, continuing appointments, promotions, sabbaticals and announced SUNY Chancellor's Award recipients and the Spirit of Jefferson Award recipient.

The Spirit of Jefferson Award, established in 2011 by retired President Carole A. McCoy recognizes a campus team that exemplifies cooperative effort and achieves exemplary results.

Jefferson Community College (JCC) will offer a 12-week pre-apprenticeship construction program at the Lewis County JCC Education Center (LCEC) in Lowville. The program will run from July 17, 2023 through October 9, 2023. Thanks to a New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) grant, unemployed and underemployed individuals have the opportunity to apply for the program without any cost (free!).

Jefferson Community College criminal justice student, Shane A. Peterson, Philadelphia, received a $500 scholarship from the New York State Sheriffs' Association, presented by Sheriff Peter R. Barnett.
