  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its Annual Recognition Celebration on Friday, May 5, 2023. The College observed the retirement of eight faculty and staff, four newly appointed emeriti, honored those for milestone years of service to the College, continuing appointments, promotions, sabbaticals and announced SUNY Chancellor's Award recipients and the Spirit of Jefferson Award recipient.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) presented the 2023 Spirit of Jefferson Award to the Cannon Threads Team at the annual Recognition Celebration held on Friday, May 5, 2023. The Spirit of Jefferson Award, established in 2011 by retired President Carole A. McCoy recognizes a campus team that exemplifies cooperative effort and achieves exemplary results.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) will offer a 12-week pre-apprenticeship construction program at the Lewis County JCC Education Center (LCEC) in Lowville. The program will run from July 17, 2023 through October 9, 2023. Thanks to a New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) grant, unemployed and underemployed individuals have the opportunity to apply for the program without any cost (free!).

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce that four members of the College's faculty and staff were honored as recipients of the 2023 State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor's Awards for Excellence. The Chancellor's Awards recognize extraordinary achievement and encourage the continuation of excellence.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold its 59th annual spring Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the McVean Student Center Gymnasium. Jefferson's Class of 2023 is comprised of 258 students who are May 2023 and August 2023 candidates for graduation, pending satisfactory completion of coursework. One student is a candidate for two degrees, bringing the total number of degrees and certificates awarded to 259.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce that Paige M. Schultz, Watertown, has been named to the All-New York Academic Team for Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for community colleges.
