  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) announces the launch of a new associate in science (A.S.) degree program in Homeland Security beginning spring 2019. Classes begin January 22, 2019. Students may start the application process now. Applying to Jefferson is free!

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) Workforce Development and Business Division (WDBD) will continue to offer retail job training that leads to industry-recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation (NRF). Training is free and made possible by a New York State Department of Labor grant. The next 3-week cohort will begin October 22, 2018. Retail sales, food service, and hotels and hospitality are areas covered during training. Classes will meet on JCC's campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation and childcare assistance are available.

  • Freshman forward/midfielder, Graicee J. Rennie of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women's soccer team, and freshman forward Ryan J. Weaver, of the Jefferson men's soccer team, were named JCC co-athletes of the week for the week ending September 30, 2018. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Under Armour and Victory Promotions.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its annual Distinguished Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on September 21, 2018. Three distinguished alumni were recognized for their professional achievement and exemplary commitment to their community and Jefferson Community College. One individual was inducted into the Class of 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic success and significant contributions to JCC's athletic program.

  • The Social Science Department at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will host the first public preview of documentary "Black Hawk Down: The Untold Story" on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. A panel discussion will immediately follow each preview. Members of the panel include veterans of the Battle of Mogadishu that took place in October 1993, twenty-five years ago.

  • Freshman outside hitter, Allison M. Burrows, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) volleyball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending September 24, 2018. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions and Under Armour.

  • The Jefferson-Lewis Association for Counseling and Development and Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold Higher Education Day on Monday, October 1 in the JCC McVean Center Gymnasium. The day sessions will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and an evening session from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A financial aid presentation will be held during the evening session from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Jules Center Amphitheater, Room 6-002. Higher Education Day is open to anyone thinking of attending college classes or furthering their education. Admission is free.
