Spring 2021 full-semester classes started in January at Jefferson Community College, but late session (8-week) classes that begin March 22, 2021 are forming now. Registration is open and prospective students are urged to act now.

Madison A. Neukirch, Adams Center, is the featured Jefferson Community College Honors Program student for the month of February 2021. Neukirch is a natural sciences major with a concentration in physical science at Jefferson.

With approval from the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH), Carthage Area Hospital, Jefferson Community College (JCC), Jefferson County Public Health Service (JCPH), North Country Family Health Center, River Hospital, Samaritan Medical Center and the Volunteer Transportation Center will work collaboratively to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to groups 1a and 1b, once vaccine arrives in Jefferson County. The preparation and planning is complete and could be up and running as early as next week if supply is available.

Jefferson County Board of Legislators has appointed Damon Draught, Watertown, and Cindy F. Intschert, Sackets Harbor, to the JCC Board of Trustees, effective December 3, 2020. Draught's appointment fills the unexpired term of Lisa A. Weber through June 30, 2021. Intschert's appointment fills the unexpired term of Eugene R. Renzi through June 30, 2026.

Jefferson Community College is accepting submissions from alumni, Jefferson students, faculty and staff for the 2021 edition of the Black River Review, a journal of poetry, prose and fine arts.

Training is open to anyone interested in beginning or advancing their career as clinical medical assistants, phlebotomy technicians, pharmacy technicians or medical billers and coders.
